About Me

Before entering the real estate industry, I was a banker at Credit Suisse and a Tax consultant at PwC Singapore, the world’s largest accounting firm.

With my previous work experience, education and knowledge acquired from two years of avid research (coupled with the savings that I had), I invested in my first property at the age of 24 – a freehold private apartment near Serangoon for over half a million dollars. Within 2 years (at age 27), I was able to purchase another property in Prime District 9 for $1.5 million near Orchard as a marital home. I wasn’t interested in swanky cars and fancy brand name items, but preferred to invest my money in real estate.

Just three years prior, in 2017, at the age of 29, I invested $2.3 million in The Sea View apartment in Prime District 15. In 2020 (age 32) and during the Covid-19 Circuit Breaker period, I seized the opportunity to buy my dream landed property at East Coast. It had a built-up size of about 10,000 square feet, and it was bought for about $1 million below than its assessed value!

In 2021 (age 33), I ventured into shophouse investment and purchased 2 shophouses at Kitchener Road & Koon Seng Road. The former has been resold after 5 months, giving me a 4 times gain on my initial capital outlay(link).

In 2022, I invested in another 2 conserved shophouses in Prime District 7 (Bugis) .

I’ve managed to build and guide a team of over 250 members to achieve huge improvements to their results.  Aaron Wan Division is now one of the Fastest Growing Young Team in PropNex.

I emphasize a lot on one-on-one mentoring sessions with my team members and make it a point to sit down with each of them to do some goal setting. It is important for them (and me as well) to understand their motivations and what they plan to achieve.

No two men are alike; by the same token, no two agents may share exactly the same goal. Some may wish to work towards income replacement – where they earn as much from real estate, as they did in their previous job except with more flexibility and spare time to spend with family.

Others may choose to double or even triple their income. Hence, it is crucial for me to understand my team members, so I can better equip them with the skills they need to achieve their real estate goals.
